  This hotel is perfectly situated for walking and cycling in the Peak district. Lovely clean and well maintained rooms with plenty of tea and coffee. Breakfast is more than sufficient. Would stay again.

  Staff were femily and efficient, booking a table is recommended we have to wait for a table as there is limited seating in the resterant. Food was reasonably priced and tasty. Worth a visit if you in need or food!

  Booked in for Mothers Day at 1.30 ordered our meals. 3 other groups came in and ordered after us. All 3 groups received their food before us. Finally got our starters at 2.15 then waited and waited for our main meals which finally arrived at 2.55 . I ordered a roast pork dinner with stuffing my dinner came with a not very well cooked pork chop!! and no stuffing!! My daughter ordered sausage and mash without gravy it came smothered in gravy. My dad ordered fish and chips the fish was hard and the chips old and over cooked. We asked to speak to the manager it took him over 20 minutes to speak to us. Instead of speaking to us privately he stood up in front of the whole restaurant to ask what was wrong. When I explained he said is that it then walked off. No apology just pure arrogance. No management skills whatsoever !! .. 2 other groups spoke to us and they were not happy with there food either. One group was overcharged for one of there items. We will definitely not be returning and will not be recommending any of our family and friends to eat in this establishment.
